I also like auto racing! I will be adding links here with some information about them to let you know about the sites I like and why. Sit back, light up a cigarette, and take a tour!
My biggest favorite is NASCAR. This site really doesn't need an explanation! If it has to do with NASCAR racing, it's here!
Next is netpitpass.
This is billed as an online racing magazine.
I like it because it is the home of Tim
Richmond, the NASCAR drive who died of AIDS. Tim was a great driver with a
lot of potential and a great personality. His death was a tremendous loss to the
racing world.
Netpitpass is also home to Brad
Doty. Brad is a former sprint car driver from Ohio. Brad was paralyzed from
the waist down in a racing accident. Brad is currently the World of Outlaws
announcer on TNN. He is a great guy and a real asset in the booth on race days!
While you're there check out their news
page. It has a list of news sources on the left. When you click on one of them
the page comes up in a frame on the right. You switch sites just by clicking a
link on the left. You never leave the site or the news section! I love it!

If you're into racing and cars you'll love it! The links section changes often
so make it a regular stop, after the news of course!
There are many more sections including one dedicated to women
drivers, as well as a section on the models
involved in racing. The photo
gallery is continually growing and includes a great selection of old
photographs.
If you are into sprint cars then you need to check out Hoseheads! This guy got the name hosehead because he's a plumber! This is a great sprint car site. He doesn't feature any particular drivers, but if it has to do with sprint car racing, it's here! News, press releases, race results, you name it! Next up is 7thGear. This is a really nice looking site that caters more to the open wheel crowd (Formula 1 and CART). This site has all the latest news, including recorded interviews that you can listen to. They also have a very good link listing. I don't know about you, but I like sites with lots of links. It sure does save me a lot of surfing time! I think you'll really like this one!
One of the best news sites for all racing series is Motorsports.com. They have a listing for nearly every racing series with news and results. Truly an awesome list! If it's racing news you crave, you've found it!
Another good place to find news and articles is about.com. They have coverage of the major series and a nice selection of links to news and information. They also offer educational reference such as an explanation of the flags of racing! You can subscribe to their newsletter for a weekly update! very cool! About.com uses "guides". Real people who evaluate and organize the info in their section. Joanna Strohn is your racing guide, and she does a fine job of it!
One of my favorite, and one of the more interesting, is Jayski's NASCAR silly season site! This site has all the latest rumors in addition to all the latest news. There is also coverage of upcoming races that is very good. There is a wealth of great information here if you are into NASCAR! Be sure to check out the Jeff Foxworthy Racing Humor page, it's awesome!
Racewire monitors the news wires and provides up to the minute news stories from the world of racing. They monitor all the major networks and papers as well as many series specific news sources. Content is always fresh and up to date. I like this site because it covers a broad range of news within motor sports, not just news about drivers and races.
